Marked with the cross of Christ forever, we are claimed, gathered and sent for the sake of the world. As members of the ELCA, we believe that we are freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. With our hands, we do God’s work of restoring and reconciling communities in Jesus’ name throughout the world.” It is truly "God's Work, Our Hands."
Lutheran Christians believe that the story of God's steadfast love and mercy in Jesus is the heart and center of what the Scriptures have to say. Lutherans, along with many other Christians, use the three ecumenical creeds --- the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed --- in worship. Lutherans affirm the seven writings composed by Luther and others in the Book of Concord and use them in teaching.
United Lutheran Church is dedicated to spiritual growth that propels us to humbly respond to our neighbors’ needs, boldly advocate for justice, and embrace expansive inclusivity, as Jesus taught.
